About AdMet
Metrology plays a pivotal role in
advancing technology, strengthening industries, ensuring product quality,
facilitating trade, driving economic growth, and supporting a sustainable
society. The recent advancement in various fields such as precision engineering,
communication methods, environmental engineering, healthcare & safety,
clean energy generation, and nano-metrologies has put pressing demands on
“National Metrology Institutes (NMIs)" for realization of the standards of
physical and chemical measurements with the highest level of accuracy and
traceability to the International System(SI) of units.
The National Conference on
“Advances in Metrology (AdMet)" is one of the major scientific events
organized in India every year, along with pre-conference workshops in selected
fields of metrology. This is the 10th national conference in the AdMet
series of conferences, which is the flagship event of the Metrology Society of
India (MSI).
The main objective of the AdMet
series is to provide a platform for metrologists, technocrats, researchers and
students of various NMIs, laboratories and institutions to participate and
share their knowledge & experience in identified thrust R&D areas and
foster collaborations with fellow scientists from all over the world.
AdMet-2026 will also feature an exhibition where the latest metrological
equipment, measurement systems, and related accessories will be displayed for
the benefit of the researchers, which would provide an excellent opportunity
for the manufacturers and service providers to showcase their products &
services to build better customer relations. The organizing committee invites
all the concerned researchers, metrologists, academicians, policy makers and
exhibitors to submit their research work for presentation.
The AdMet-2026 conference will be
organized in Bengaluru, one of India’s most vibrant and dynamic cities. Widely
recognized as the nation’s technology and innovation hub, Bengaluru seamlessly
blends modern infrastructure with a rich cultural heritage. Known for its
pleasant climate, lush green spaces, and cosmopolitan atmosphere, the city
offers an engaging experience for visitors from across the nation. During the
proposed dates of AdMet-2026, the weather in Bengaluru is expected to be
comfortable and conducive for both academic interactions and exploration.
